National Voter Registration Day is celebrated on Sept. 20 this year and serves as a reminder for people across the country to either check their registration status or register to vote.
According to the Florida Department of State, you must meet the following requirements to be eligible to vote:
1) Be a citizen of the United States of America2) Not be a person convicted of a felony without having your right to vote restored.
3) Not be a person who has been adjudicated mentally incapacitated to voting in Florida or any other state without having the right to vote restored
4) Be a legal resident of Florida5) Be a legal resident of the county in which you seek to be registered
6) Be at least 16 years old to preregister or at least 18 years old to register and vote in this all-over process
You need to complete these requirements.
People in Florida must register by Oct. 11 to vote in the 2022 General Election and complete the requirements.
